areldi Posted August 29, 2012 Share Posted August 29, 2012 I tried Natural Calm a year or so ago (can't remember what dose I used, but probably lowest recommended on the tub) and got a load of stomach discomfort from it - but… It really did seem to help with sleep. I'm really struggling with sleep since I started the Whole 30 and am interested in trying it again, but wondered if anyone here has been through the side effects and managed to successfully acclimatise themselves to Natural Calm? I'd be really interested if anyone can advise on what dose to start with? How frequently to increase it? And by what increment each time? I've been trying the magnesium oil, but it's a bit messy and hasn't had any sleep effect so any advice on this gratefully received! Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The first time I tried 1 heaping tsp and that was very apparently too much. So next I went to 1/4 teaspoon for about two weeks, then 1/2, then 1 tsp for a pretty long time, and now 1 heaping tsp. I use it every night and will probably very gradually increase to 2 tsps. I find that it does help me go to sleep and stay asleep and keeps me "regular."
