Cdurrence
The only thing that I miss is a glass of wine every once in a while. Is it ok to drink a glass sometimes?
jmcbn
The short answer is no. You've read the rules, right? http://whole30.com/whole30-program-rules/ Do not consume alcohol in any form, not even for cooking.Rules is rules.
Cdurrence
Yes, I've read the rules but was just hoping you would say ok. A glass of wine on Friday was a big part of my week....and I miss it.
jmcbn
LOL A gin&slim was a big part of mine on a Saturday & that's exactly why I had to give it up. The anticipation of the first Saturday was harder to deal with than the actual event if I'm honest & I felt so pleased with myself when I woke up on the Sunday knowing that that was one more hurdle I'd crossed. Every day is an achievement of sorts - just keeping clocking the days up one at a time and you'll be fine....
Moderators LadyM Posted March 13, 2015 Moderators Share Posted March 13, 2015 You can handle four Fridays out of your life without wine, I know you can. And after that, you might not want to reintroduce the habit. Reevaluating my relationship with alcohol is one of the best things to come out of my Whole 30 experience. Good luck. You can do it! Try to sort out what you like about the wine ritual (the downtime, relaxation, luxury, quiet time, whatever). It probably shouldn't matter what is in your glass if you are serving your emotional needs.
