AmyS
You'll have to look more specifically at the ingredients list on the particular package your friends are using to find out. Look out for sneaky sugars (with different names), soy, sulfites, msg, and any other random bad stuff the food producers think up to throw in there. (It's called corned beef) The potatoes are fine. Just make sure they don't add non-compliant ingredients to the pot (sugar, soy, worcestershire, etc.).

AmyS
Haha - I understand. The one last thing you'll want to check is that your friends don't add any pesky non-compliant ingredients to the dish.
Munkers
Ask what, if anything, they're using as a cooking liquid for the corned beef. A lot of crock pot recipes call for adding beer while it cooks.
Moderators ultrarunnergirl Posted March 17, 2015 Moderators Share Posted March 17, 2015 Or beef broth. If there is a whole30 compliant beef broth on the market, I have yet to see it.
kirkor
I got a brisket on sale -- would it be better to cook then freeze or freeze to cook later?
