kraisydaisy
Hey, I am deciding whether or not to try the whole 30 and am doing a LOT of research on this site first. Is hummus okay to eat?
Susan W
It is made with Garbanzo beans which are legumes, so no, you can't.
Derval
But you can make alternatives like zucchinni humus and beetroot humus.

Carolyn Koron Parise
I mistakenly was eating hummus with celery for a snack a couple days. Darn! So I put a stop to that.
EmilyB456
You can also try making hummus out of cauliflower, like this: http://www.paleoplan...2/paleo-hummus/ Or, Paleo Comfort Foods has a non-legume hummus/baba ghanoush. So does Well Fed. The one in PCF is: 1 large eggplant, roasted, peeled, and chopped 2 TB tahini 2 TB lemon juice 1-2 cloves garlic pinch of cumin 2 TB olive oil salt to taste You can eat these wiith chopped veggies, YUM! gclgal
I also have made a dip out of roasted eggplant and roasted bell pepper. It's sooo good! Much better than any hummus that I have ever tried
HarryhomeownerW30
These are great ideas. Thank you. As I move into day 14 I am looking for a bit of variety and really like the idea of a W30 compliant hummus
GFChris
Here's a recipe for carrot hummus: http://www.thetastyalternative.com/2011/11/raw-carrot-hummus.html Maybe substitute a light olive oil instead of the grapeseed used in the recipe?
