laurenk
I finished my first whole 30 in January, and almost immediately after starting getting pretty bad stomach pains after eating eggs, apples and bananas. I ate all of these foods through out the whole 30 and never had a problem. Has this happened to anyone else? I've reintroduced dairy and grains and am totally fine eating those- just so weird that fruit and eggs would give me such a problem.

Why are you assuming the issue is with eggs and fruit and not with dairy and grains?
Moderators ultrarunnergirl Posted March 20, 2015 Moderators Share Posted March 20, 2015 Are you talking about in general, and separately? Or you ate eggs, apples and bananas for meal 1 and then felt these issues? How long did you reintro dairy and grains? The recommendation is to intro each at three meals for a day, then eat whole30 for a few days, then reintro the next thing. It might take a few meals to show its effects. My own personal experience: I can eat grains with no real effects only if I have been eating clean and if I eat it only ONCE IN AWHILE. For instance, I can eat bread with fancy restaurant dinner once a month and be fine, but if I ate pizza or other bread the next day too, the effects become more of an issue. Dairy is another matter. Everyone is different. However, some people are sensitive to the fructose in fruit. And some have trouble with eggs (whites particularly). Keep experimenting to see what isn't working for you.
