Edesia
I am going to do a very slow reintroduction of some foods after my six week mark on my first W30. Right now, I'm on D39. I'm thinking about reintroducing the legumes I like in stages, i.e., lentils for the first test, beans (black, kidney) after that, and maybe peanuts after that. My reasoning is that I'd like to see if I have different reactions to the different types. Has anyone done this? Is there any scientific basis for going this route? Am I overthinking? Administrators ladyshanny Posted March 26, 2015 Administrators Share Posted March 26, 2015 You aren't overthinking it at all, actually. That's a very wise and reasonable reintro plan. Different foods can affect you differently even if they are in the same general family. We often recommend that people reintro "soy" at a different time than the rest of legumes for just that reason. Some people also choose to reintro dairy in sections like that to determine reaction to casein, whey etc. A lot of times people want to reintro the general group and then if they get a reaction to, for instance, the legume group, they would need to do further testing and drilling into the specific items whereas you are going to do this from the get go. Your reintro will take longer doing it this way because you still need to leave several days in between new food groups, but you'll get a better overall picture. Edesia
Thanks. Soy is way down on my list and will be at another time altogether.
