mtpeck
Are these compliant?
AmyS
They are. Think of them in the same way that you would think of any other dried fruit - eat sparingly, remembering that they will awaken your sugar dragon intensely. Folks often find success using dried fruits in small amounts in a larger recipe, but rarely report any sort of happiness just sitting and eating them out of the container. Wouldn't these fit into the "no chips unless made at home" rule? I've had this brand and it's not just a dried apple ring--it's a crispy, crunchy chip. SherryM
I wouldn't look at them like a chip. I have crunchy Kale chips. Definitely not like a CHIP CHIP. haha. Unless this is something you already struggled with maybe.
MeadowLily
Welp, there's 42 grams of sugar in one small bag of Bare Apple Chips. If you struggle with snacking, I would go for an apple.

The no chips except for homemade rule applies to kale chips as well. http://forum.whole9life.com/topic/25286-whole30-approved-from-grocery/?p=266456

Moderators LadyM Posted March 31, 2015 Moderators Share Posted March 31, 2015 To me these fall under the category of technically compliant, but no bueno. I'd avoid them.
Rebe_J
To me these fall under the category of technically compliant, but no bueno. I'd avoid them. These scream "SNACK" to me. While following the Letter of the Law, they defy the Spirit of the Law, in my opinion. I have to eliminate anything remotely resembling snack food, but that's me. Mindless snacking is one of the things I've had to work on.
