AkMargs
I'm about a week into this cleanse. I eat fairly whole in 'real life' so this transition has not been too difficult. The last few days, I find that I'm just not hungry that much. I have days like this in 'real life' too, and just dont eat. But from what I've read here, it seems very important to eat and eat lots. But some meals I'm just not hungry, I have to remind myself to eat, and almost force myself to eat. But this also seems wrong by not listening to my body. Any thoughts/ suggestions? AmyS
Could you list a couple of days' worth of your meals, plus any exercise, sleep, water intake, and any other information you think will be relevant? That way we might be able to help troubleshoot. In general, if you find you can't eat a full meal, go ahead and eat a mini-meal - or make a full meal, eat what you can, and save the rest for later. Some days might be less hungry days, and some days might be more hungry days. Not eating at all for a day or more is not really optimal for your health, but you don't have to stuff yourself if you're just not that hungry some days. Again, these are general thoughts - if you would like more specifics then give us some idea of your meals and we'll help you out.
AkMargs
Hi- I've been eating quite a bit. I was surprised: Breakfast were two eggs, potatoes and green onions and kale, bacon and half a grapefruit. Lunch is usually leftover dinner: salmon, salad, potatoes with onions, and raw cauliflower. Dinner is chicken, half an acorn squash, salad and brussels sprouts. I usually drink green tea in the morning, two cups. Maybe a cup of coffee on top of that. I drink water all day at work, in the car, at home and with meals. I sleep 7.5- 8 hours every night. I walk my dog every day (low impact-he's old) and about every other day either run or do a P90 video. I was hungry today for lunch and dinner, not so much breakfast. I've never gone all day without eating; just a meal here or there. On Sunday I just ate a salad (but no protein.) Thoughts?
AkMargs
The Sunday salad was just lunch. Breakfast and Dinner were full meals. I really should re-read what I type!
AmyS
That sounds pretty good! Don't worry too much about not feeling hungry for breakfast right now. Re-setting your hormones so that you can really feel a need for breakfast can take time. You'll do that by continuing to eat breakfast. It looks like you're doing well! When you're ready to eat a full breakfast, add one more egg and you're there! See how easy? Well done.
