My first Whole30

I'm super excited to start my first Whole30. I'm also pretty nervous, I have never been able to stick to healthy eating. It's time for a stop!! I would truly appreciate any advice through my journey to healthy eating. Today is the first day and it has been a bit tough with cutting my sugar and dairy from my morning coffee. I hope I can survive. :blink:

When we come from a lifestyle of rewarding ourselves with food,  it takes awhile to break those cycles.

 

It's good to have a solid plan in place to divert those old urges and questions we can ask ourselves before we fall back into the old patterns.

 

Is this stress eating?

If I eat ____, after 5 minutes will it only compound the stress?

Stress eating only satisfies for a very short time.

 

Everytime we pass on stress eating - giving into cravings vs. authentic hunger, that muscle grows stronger and we can break free of rewarding ourselves with food.

I don't think it's stress eating as much as having such a fast pace life. Between Work and taking the kids to practice it makes it so much easier to buy fast food, rather than prepare a healthy meal. I have to break that bad habit, figure out a way to prepare multiple meals that would last a few days during the week.
