paulfan1
In many peoples' posts, there are potatoes mentioned in their recipes. I do not see white potatoes on the list. Could someone clear this up for me? I am starting tomorrow and am a little nervous. Are frozen veggies ok? Spinach, butternut squash.....etc Thanks again
Administrators ladyshanny Posted April 12, 2015 Administrators Share Posted April 12, 2015 All veggies (except corn which is a grain and beans/peas which are legumes) are permitted. Frozen is fine, just check the package to make sure that they didn't add any non compliant ingredients.
paulfan1
Thanx for the quick response. And are the white potatoes permitted?
kirkor
In many peoples' posts, there are potatoes mentioned in their recipes. I do not see white potatoes on the list. What list are you referring to? They've been allowed since July 2014: http://whole30.com/2014/07/new-whole30/ and the "Can I Have?" guide has been updated too: http://whole30.com/2013/06/the-official-can-i-have-guide-to-the-whole30/
GFChris
If you're referring to the shopping list, that is not an exhaustive list: that's to give some ideas of possible compliant foods. What ladyshanny and kirkor said.
paulfan1
Yes that was my mistake I was referring to the #shopping list. Thanks again
Granny Bananie
Yes in the new book it talks about potatoes are fine as long as you don't think its something that causes you inflammation. In fact it says they encourage potatoes because they are nutrient dense.
