Today is my first day. I am very excited. I am more worried about not drinking any alcohol. This will be my biggest challenge. I only drink on Friday night And Saturday nights. I drink two drinks each of these days. It has been a bad habit I want to break for 30 days. I am looking forward to share this experience

I started yesterday - I'm not feeling the food hangover that I've been prepared to expect, and am still running a bit on adrenalin! Did a lot of shopping yesterday morning, and (I hope) I have the tools to make this a success.

Hello, I started April 13 as well.  But I have a confession, I started Dr. Hyman's sugar detox.  Which is very similar to Whole 30.  After starting I did some research and like the Whole30 better, so I'm going to switch, if you'll have me :)  Plus you can drink coffee on the Whole30 and the forum/community is so much better.

I joined Monday, April 13th! I posted my first meal on Facebook and found out a friend's daughter is on her 2nd month with Whole30 and has lost 30 lbs. AND another friend has been doing the Whole30 for 15 days so far! WOW, little did I know! I am doing this with my hubby. It has been strange so far! I am feeling very full with my meals, but he is eating twice as much food!! He even has been feeding our dogs MORE food! Funny how we are reacting so different. My hubby was cooking dinner yesterday. I left a curry recipe with him. He got confused and instead of putting in fresh Sugar peas, he put in a can of green beans w 2 g sugar! Darn, that sugar is EVERYWHERE! Now he knows to look at the can! The curry was good though! NOTE:  I had to look to find Currey paste with no sugar. I finally found it in an 'international section' of the store under Thai food. Also, I found out 'Coconut Milk' with 0 grams sugar and it was cheaper in that section of the store too!

Hi ctrmom, welcome to the Whole30 Forum!  Just a quick note about label reading.  The "grams of sugar" that appears in the nutritional panel is of no value in Whole30.  It's the actual ingredients list that you need to look at.  Many products have naturally occurring sugars which would appear in the nutritional facts panel.  It's whether or not the manufacturer has added sugar (or any other non compliant ingredient) to the item that you need to be worried about.
