Starting on April 18th with my mom

Hi all:
Taking the plunge and very nervous about it. I just turned 50 a week ago and have no energy. The only thing I'm really nervous about is my Diet Coke addiction. Any tips would be appreciated for surviving that one.  My mom and I are starting tomorrow so hopefully we can stick with it. Husband is iffy on starting but said he'd eat the meals I prepare.

Obviously, the best thing to drink is going to be plain water, but when you really want something a little different, especially if you miss the fizziness of the diet coke, you can try carbonated water -- either buy it plain and add a squeeze of lemon or lime, or look for something like La Croix, which is sparkling water with just a hint of flavor. You can also make infused waters, where you put a pitcher of water in the fridge with sliced up fruit or herbs in it. I like sliced cucumber and lemon in mine in the summer, it's very refreshing, but if you google infused water, there are a lot of options.
