justinmy
I am starting my second round of Whole30 and am trying to make sure I incorporate the Pre/Post Workout meals correctly. I'm up at 6, typically have Meal 1 at 7:30 then do an endurance ride to work. Then I do a second endurance ride home at 5 with dinner around 6. Last time, I had a protein snack when I got to the office in the morning and then just waited until dinner when I got home. My energy levels were often a little off and want to make sure this time around I get in the right meals. Thank!
kirkor
You could make lunch a little bigger.
Moderators Tom Denham Posted April 27, 2015 Moderators Share Posted April 27, 2015 If your ride is a physical challenge, you are due extra nutrition to cover the extra energy expenditure. Lean protein is important to nourish hungry muscles immediately after exercise. Starchy veggies may be important to replenish muscle glycogen. You might want to try eating your breakfast a bit earlier and then eat a small post-workout meal after you get to the office. I might try to eat a little lean protein as soon as I got home at night and then eat dinner when it was ready.
