JT_SC
So im 10 days into my whole 30. What i've found is that i'm way more strict than most people that have completed, or are attempting to, complete one. Most people i've spoken with either cheat, or just aren't that diligent on checking ingredients etc. Too many people assume certain foods are compliant without doing any research themselves. Im sitting at the charlotte airport traveling for work and my flight is delayed, which means blood sugar is dropping now and my hunger is getting real. Luckily i have Chomps sticks and Rx bars for this exact scenario, but there is a Salsaritas Fresh Cantina here and it looks a lot like Chipotle and i would much rather either that for dinner. So i did a quick google search. The consensus is that its totally safe to eat there. I do my own research though by talking to the girl and find out that all the meat is cooked in a broth on the cook-top. I asked her to read me the ingredients, and sure enough, added sugar So, lesson learned, don't trust the internet and do fact-finding yourself. Just thought i would pass this intel along in case anyone else finds themselves in a similar situation.
Moderators ultrarunnergirl Posted May 19, 2015 Moderators Share Posted May 19, 2015 Kudos for making your Whole30 REALLY count. The people who aren't being diligent are really cheating themselves. Think about it, they're forgoing many of the foods they would normally eat, but when day 20 rolls around they're likely to be the ones complaining that they don't feel any different. When that happens point them to this article: http://whole9life.com/2012/10/six-reasons-why-the-whole30-didnt-work-for-you/ And this one: http://whole30.com/2014/06/post-whole30-perspective/

Thanks for telling the truth. I've been wondering about the real stats for a long time. How many eat out whenever, wherever and say Oh, what the hey, but it really does matter in the end. Thanks, ultrarunnergirl.
Real Food Y'all
This is SO depressing to read (found Googling Whole30 Salsaritas) because there's no Chipotle where I live for hundreds of miles, but of course we have Salsarita's. Planning another Whole30 for next month and was looking forward to having it as a backup.
