lareset315
Tomorrow, I’m starting my first Whole30! I’m excited to try this, but also quite terrified. My favorite exercise studio is doing a May Challenge that incorporates Clean Eating, so I've decided to commit fully by doing a Whole30. I typically eat relatively healthy and work out consistently, however I’ve been struggling the last few weeks, so this couldn’t come at a better time. While weight loss is a goal of mine, I really just want to feel better, when I eat well I have boundless energy and lately I’ve been tired and sluggish. In the past year I’ve lost almost 70 pounds and not being able to control my hunger/what I’ve been putting in my body that past two weeks is scaring me, so hopefully this will reset my body and my mind and help me refocus on making healthy decisions and keep working towards my overall goal of being a healthier and happier person. Been reading through the forums for the past few days and have an idea of what I’m in for, I really glad there is an accountability section for me to post what I’ll be eating the next 30 days. I’m going grocery shopping tonight and am ready to kick off May and this summer with a positive attitude and a refocused mindset on overall health. Whelp… here goes NOTHING J

lareset315
On day 4! This has actually been a lot easier than I expected. Other than a few tinges of a headache here and there, I haven't felt all that fatigued! I was really scared of the carb-flu and kill all things phase. I have been adding in additional meals on days where I work out intensely, other than missing black beans and chickpeas, I really haven't missed anything else, even though my omelette this morning would have been so good with some cheese! Some pointers for myself are that I need to stop grabbing a few walnuts when I'm in the mood to snack. it's second nature and it's normally when I'm bored. I've only had one compliant larabar (trying to make my own tonight), and usually that's my go-to for pre/post workouts. Cooking has been a breeze and eating out hasn't been too much of a challenge either, living in LA makes it a lot easier! This will be the month of having friends over and cooking for them rather than going out. I know it's only day four, but I'm pretty proud of starting and sticking to it, sometimes I can convince myself to start tomorrow and then a month goes by, for this it's ALL IN or NOTHING!
