Bubblewinks
Just curious. Since Whole30 isn't a lot of carbs, are there any negative side effects of eating this way forever on your body?
kirkor
Whole30 isn't meant to be low carb: it only ends up that way when people cut out grains & mainstream processed convenience carbs and don't replace them with equivalent starchy vegetables and other items. With stuff like sweet potatoes, potatoes, beets, onions, squash, etc. as well as fruit and the carbier nuts, it can actually be quite high carb if a person goes that route. I'd say the only negatives from a long term standpoint would be psychological in terms of not trusting yourself to ride your own bike, the micromanagement of reading labels ad nauseum, and the social challenges of 100%-compliant eating when outside your own kitchen.
