taylor.captline
Does anyone eat chia "pudding" as an occasional breakfast (since chia should be eaten in moderation)? I was thinking about doing a chia pudding for breakfast with chia seeds, cashew milk (compliant), pumpkin then topping with some nuts and/or banana. Would love to get thoughts and recipes! We really recommend all your meals, even breakfast -- no, scratch that, ESPECIALLY breakfast, meet the meal template. There is no protein anywhere in that breakfast, and there are no vegetables other than a bit of pumpkin, and the sweetness of it is going to set you up for a blood sugar spike and then subsequent drop that will more than likely leave you hungry and moody the rest of the day. jmcbn
Any type of 'pudding', even when made with compliant ingredients, would be SWYPO IMHO... Whole30 is about more than eating compliant foods. It's about breaking old bad habits & developing new better ones, and Paleo as it's known now seems to encourage *a lot* of unhealthy eating habits labelling them as healthy, or guilt free. There are lots of tastier, and more nutritious breakfast options out there if you'd only start thinking of it as 'meal one' rather than 'breakfast' in the traditional sense. Munkers
I'm with jmcbn--major SWYPO issue. Pudding is junk food and the Whole30 rules specifically state not to recreate junk even if it is with compliant ingredients only.
