gregorsuch
Day one down and having fun. I went to the store and bought what I would need for a week! I roasted a chicken and made some bone broth. Breakfast was eggs, salmon and veggies scramble. Lunch was a nice chicken salad. Supper was a cauliflower soup with homemade broth, diced chicken and a bit of broccoli Feeling good about doing my whole30!
gregorsuch
Day two meet me with a headache. I knew I would get one, but didn't expect it for another day of two. I took the boys out for a bicycling ride and came home and it hit me. I was trying to cut coffee out just for kicks and giggles. I made a pot and had a cup and took a nap. I felt better afterwards! I will get this whole30 done and work on my craving and emotions. Before I would go off plan and then it would be a few days later before I got back on plan. I want to try and figure out what triggers these binges and work on them.

gregorsuch
Day three treated me better than day two! I really enjoy not being bloated and having headaches. I wonder why I keep going back to the old ways?? It was a good morning, started out with chicken and broccoli soup, lunch was gf burgers and a plum. Dinner was thick home grown pork chops and a broccoli. I felt good and my energy seems to be coming back! I have been sleeping good. I have not been regular with my fish oil or other supplements. I don't get my veggies when I am not strict. So going back and doing a whole30 will be good for me.
gregorsuch
Day four thoughts and inspirations. I was able to talk to two people and have meaningful conversations with them about healthy lifestyles. I talked to a lady previous about cleaning up her diet. she had cut out grains but could not give up dairy. She had said that her knee joint pain was greatly reduced! And then stated that her stomach still bothered her. I told her to try and eliminate dairy for a month. What did she have to lose other then a month?!? She said she would try and report back to me! Another conversation I had on FB about my whole30 experience. So just little things we do can make a big impression on people! We don't even have to flaunt it, just live as an example to everyone you meet. My day was pretty good. I had some awesome meals and got to try some curry flavored coconut oil! I made a chicken curry of sorts for dinner. It turned out pretty good. Even the wifey said it was good. Not all of my experiments get the nod of approval. I have been eating a lot of broccoli and cauliflower, but I made the comment that I am getting more veggies when I am strict then when I just eat meats and fats. gregorsuch
Kind of a slow day in my whole30 land. I am made a quick trip out of town and managed to stay on plan. Picked up a salad for lunch...You wouldn't believe how easy it is to screw up a simple salad. Really why does a grilled chicken breast need soy, wheat and msg? Luckily I found one with in plan guidelines. Yesterday I did my CrossFit workout...I even felt good today. I was wondering how it was going to work. I am still hoping for more energy, but a lot has came back and I am happy for that!
gregorsuch
Day Seven went well for me. I planned ahead my meals. I had a good breakfast with eggs and veggies, a nice salad for lunch and a three egg omelet for dinner. My omelet had homemade sausage and with peppers, broccoli, tomatoes and onions. It is nice to not to need to snack during the day.
gregorsuch
I am restarting my Whole30. I am restarting due to an attitude concern, not a technicality. After all that is part of the program also! I feel that even though I have ate wholesome food, my attitude was not totally with the program. I replaced one addiction with another. So coffee is my demon and I am not using it as a support. I have to be honest with myself and push forward. So back to basics and follow the program with a better attitude! gregorsuch
All is good. Thanks for stopping by and checking. I subscribed to the Whole30 daily and faithfully read it and put it to practice. I started out with some smart goals and wrote them down. I also shared them with my accountability partner. I hit the whole30 full force with a better brain. That first day back was a bear, I had a massive headache, and I thought of giving up. I pushed though and even faced my coffee demon. I feel it was the right thing to start over and have a better head for it.
maggief
Yay, that's awesome!! I'm loving the W30 Daily emails, too. Between that and the forum I definitely feel less lonely on this journey. It's so cool that you have an accountability partner. Is it a friend/family member, or someone here on the forum? Keep up the great work!
