Nadia B
Are you doing regular or vegetarian whole30? Hemp hearts are allowed. Protein powder (given it's 100% compliant) is never superior to the real food. It is allowed but not encouraged. Quote from the official Can I have guide (which would have been your ideal first stop wink wink): We want you to spend a month learning to appreciate real food, how it tastes, the work it takes to prepare, and how it works in your body. You can have your shaker cup back in 30 days; for now, focus on starchy veggies and lean protein after a workout. Hard-boiled eggs, compliant deli meat, smoked salmon, or tuna are easy, portable protein sources to take with you to the gym. Maybe you can give a bit more of a context why do you think you might need hemp protein powder on a program that teaches to eat real food so we can advise you better? Lexical
Can't do Whole30 until I have a lot of darkling beetles to eat, because nothing more intelligent than them I feel good eating. I have never raised them before... maybe in 6 months I will have enough to eat? That is how dedicated I am to becoming healthy without eating things that bother my conscience. Hmmm... on a positive note? They are practically free, once you get a huge bug farm going. No pesticides, no salmonella, no heavy metals, no fat. We should be able to buy larvae in the grocery store. Nutritionally, they are a very healthy animal protein source. Times like this I wished I could teleport to Asia.
Lexical
I don't want to eat anything that suffers or eat the product of anything that suffered (so eggs are out, as the males are routinely ground up alive, and that is barbaric to me). I need to balance my spiritual and physical needs; if one is out of sync I won't be happy or feel at peace, which is not good if I plan on living this way for more than a month.
