I have been following low carb, high fat/ Wheat Belly for the past 5 months. I have felt pretty good but still have a lot of bloating and discomfort. I have only lost 14 pounds in that time and some inches. Some success but it feels very unnatural not eating vegetables and fruit.

I am afraid of regaining my little weight loss by eating fruit and veggies, and dare I say........ potatoes?? I have done well today, no potatoes but I enjoyed an apple. I'm used to the 16:8 fasting and so I didn't have my first meal until 3:00. I know I need to eat the 3 meals and not skip. One day at a time.

Anyone make this switch and lose weight? I'm thinking giving up dairy is going to be the best decision. I'm already seeing a difference.

Thank you for any advice. I know feeling better is the goal but I'd love to drop a few pounds and get frustrated.

The Whole30 is carefully planned to improve your hormonal rhythms. The narrow eating window screws with the hormones of many more people than it helps. It is especially hard on women who need to lose weight. Please move promptly to eating breakfast within on hour of waking in the morning. That is the single most powerful thing you can do to get your hormones to where they need to be.

Losing 14 pounds in 5 months is actually excellent progress. If you expect to lose weight faster, you are setting yourself up for disappointment.

Many people lose weight while eating potatoes twice per day. If you follow our meal planning template and you need to lose weight, you will lose it.
