Kate File
I am SOOOO excited, I finally found compliant sausages and they are really tasty! The brand in 'Nonna's" and so far I have tried the Organic Beef and Herb Sausages (natural hog casings, organic beef 92%, water, salt, nutmeg, garlic, oregano, parsley, rosemanry and natural preservative) and the Pork and Fennel Sausages (pork shoulder 90%, water, garlic, fennel, salt, pepper, nutmeg, emulsifier 316, antioxidant 451, natural organic preservative, rosemary). I bought them from About Life in Balmain. Can't wait to try some of the other flavours!!! I now have an easy dinner option or a tasty alternative for breakfast. PonyLove
Hi Kate Any chance you've come by any Whole30 compliant bacon? I spent the better part of my work day googling for suppliers in Sydney/NSW. Everything either had sugar or sulphites or dextrose or something contraband. midwestgirl80
Well done!!! I too am in Sydney and have been googling meat companies for the last week. And checking every package every time I'm at the store. I know my local organic store carries Nonna's, I will definitely be going back to pick some up! Luke91
Thomas dux stocks Bok ham and bacon which has a sugar and preservative free range. Bok is based in Tasmania but their website doesn't support online orders as yet. http://boksbacon.com.au/ They seem to make sausages but I'm yet to see any in the shops. I also recommend Urban Food Market for free range, organic and grass fed meat. Notes that their sausages and small goods are not compliant though. http://www.urbanfoodmarket.com.au/ Have fun! Ayla2010
I buy my bacon at an organic butcher in dural. He says is just salt cured, no nitrates.
