Kim's second Whole30

I finished my first Whole30 on April 28th. I did some reintroductions and found out that either my body doesn't like non-gluten grains or it just didn't like that many carbs in one day. I found out that dairy is fine for me and that one beer is fine, but two is too much. I have had some sugar, but it hasn't really caused my sugar dragon to come raging back. Although, if there are treats in the house I think about them and eat them at the first opportunity even if I really don't want them, so it's just best not to have them in the house. Stupid paleo macaroons.

My first Whole30 was about learning to navigate the program. I'm back for another round to refine the perfect diet for me. I'm going to track some additional metrics because I'm interested in knowing more about: What is causing me to be dizzy? What is a good carb intake for me? Do bone broth and Kombucha make me feel even better (they weren't a part of my first Whole30)?

I didn't step on the scale this morning. I ended my first Whole30 at 135.4 and I'm considering that my starting weight for this round. Not weighing myself has been very liberating.

Do you get dizzy spells? Migraines? Is that why you initially went on the Whole30? Did you keep a log of your first one? I'm curious what you learned... mainly because I still get kinda dizzy on this whole30, and I think it might have to do with waiting so long between meals. still fine-tuning the program..... best of luck!

I started getting dizzy spells and headaches at the end my first Whole30 and it continued into my reintroductions. I did keep a log, but I wasn't paying attention to dizziness and headaches at the time. This time I want to see if I can really figure it out, so I'm paying attention to carbs and water and where I'm at in my cycle and every other little thing. :)  Time between meals is another good thing to look at. Best of luck to you too!

Didn't feel good. I felt like I had a precursor to being lightheaded all day.

I harvested my second batch of kombucha tonight and it's amazing. It carbonated without a second fermentation. I also started a second continuous brew with the baby SCOBY. My SCOBY's are named Wanda and Shirley. They seem quite happy.

I dreamed that I was at a restaurant with a friend. We were sharing a plate of shrimp with tomato paste (weird) and he said, "You should try putting sugar on it." I grabbed the sugar, opened the lid, paused and said, "I'm not eating sugar now". Later, in the same dream I believe, I was with a different friend at a chocolate shop. She was buying a bunch of stuff and I was just looking around and thinking, "I used to eat this stuff. In the past I would have loved to come here and buy a bunch of chocolate and then eat too much of it. I'm glad I don't do that anymore." It simply held no allure.
