I had orange juice at the club

Recommended Posts

Last night was my best friend's birthday, we went clubbing and we got bottle service. Everyone was drinking except me. I had like 2 orange juice drinks (the one they use to mix drink), pretty sure it has sugar in it. I only drank that because we ran out of water bottle and the line at the bar was hella long and my feet hurt from heels. Anyway I know it's no excuses.  :( We went to Denny's after and I didnt eat anything because I was still feeling bad about the orange juice. Anyway when I got home at 2am and I was starving so I heated up my meal prep (broccoli and chicken) and 3 scramble eggs w/ bell pepper, mushroom and 2 spoons of guac on side. I feel horrible tonight from drinking these 2 orange juice drinks and eating so much (I'm full right now) before bed.

I was on my 11th day of whole30. Do I need to start over  :(

You get to decide.   Fruit juice is compliant.   Was it Sunny D...the sugar bomb phony orange juice?  Why don't you call them up and ask them what they use.   The decision will be all yours, regardless of what was in there.

I had to make some copies and the lady was telling me that she lets her kids drink Sunny D every day because "it's just as healthy as the real stuff" and they drink so much of it that they couldn't afford the "real stuff" and in my mind I was thinking....you've fallen for the Kool-aid and truly are drinking it, too..

Iggy, Orange juice, regardless if it is natural or not is one of the sugariest substances on earth.   T1 Diabetics use natural or fresh squeezed orange juice for emergencies.  Orange juice and other fruit juices can be used for cooking purposes but not for drinking on a Whole 30.  It's a shot of  'pure' sugar straight to the pancreas/blood sugar.  Think of it as honey without the bees.

That sounds horrible! Anyway, I'm not a big juice drinker, but it helps with my sanity knowing that I have the option there.

Orange juice is good for emergencies if you're T1.   I have a relative that we must help all of the time and we watch closely for the signs.  We have to have it on hand, use it like medicine and catch her before her head hits the floor.  It's all part of my new job without pay.  ;)
