TripleM
I opened a can of coconut milk a few days ago for coffee, but I don't use much at one time. How long does it last in the fridge (stored in a Tupperware container)? I searched the forums and couldn't find it here, and found lots of random answers from googling it! Thanks
jennrider
I think 3-4 days max. You can always freeze it in cubes to add to coffee. We keep ours in a glass carafe with a lid. It never makes it to day 4 in our house!
Robin Strathdee
I keep mine in the fridge until it starts to smell - generally around 2 weeks, if it lasts that long. Which it never does.
Laura B
Is it OK to store in the can? I have a plastic lid that fits on cans, so I just keep it in there...
Robin Strathdee
Laura, Again...that's what I do. I will add, though, that I am not in the least germ phobic (Gasp! I even let my kids eat off the floor), so there may finer points that I'm missing. Mine doesn't last super long, so I'm not too concerned about leaching toxins. jhmomi
I use a plastic blender ball bottle (intended for protein shakes) so its easy to pour my coconut milk. I also get the TJ's light version which is thinner because its diluted with water and easier for me to use up quickly. I'm the only one using it and it lasts me two maybe three days. AnnofIreland
I've used both Thai and Native Forest brand. Neither of them seems to last past 4-5 days. It will smell and taste BAD once it's turned. That's another great reason to eat real food...it tells you when it's too far gone.
