Orbit27
Hi everybody I just started my whole 30 today! My goals are to jumpstart a weight loss of 5 or 10 pounds, regulate my digestion and most importantly, finally fix my skin. I am currently 27 and for the past 3 years I have been dealing with the worst acne I've ever had. The first breakout was the worst which left me with scarring on my cheeks. Now I deal with mostly my chin jaw and back with the occasional blemish on my cheeks or mouth area. Most recently behind my ears. I am over it and ready to do this. I have my boyfriends support even though he is not 100 percent following. We had some good meals today. Breakfast was 2 eggs with mushrooms, greens, and onions. I had a small piece of pork belly and grapes. Lunch was zucchini soup from Well fed, a chicken leg, pistachios and anot apple with coconut butter. Dinner was squash pasta with meatballs and tomato sauce. Lots of tea and coffee. I need to make sure I have more water tomorrow! Currently I am taking some supplements for my skin but I feel like they don't do a thing. Normally I had been eating gluten free but I have the worst sweet tooth. Time to get to bed and prepare for tomorrow! Good luck to everyone!
Orbit27
Day 2 so far so good. I woke up with an itchy neck.. strange. Breakfast was coffee with coconut milk, 2 chicken legs and leftover soup. I am going to try to avoid fruit breakfasts and remember to bring leftovers to work. I work extremely early morning hours (3-11) so I am already used to breakfasts and lunches that aren't necessarily typical. Already dreaming about dinner. Food is still in my head but not so much because of hunger, but because i want to make sure I'm always prepared. For lunch I have a couple meatballs with sauce and cucumber tomato salad. Orbit27
Forgot to add last night's eats. I made yummy sweet potato fries roasted in coconut oil with a little red pepper flakes. The boyfriend made regular oven fries so I snatched a few. Also had mustard rosemary pork tenderloin with apples and onions and a lot of kale chips Today I had some pork for breakfast and the zucchini soup , nuts, a pear and coconut butter for lunch. Not the best meal but I'll work on it. Tonight we're making lettuce wrap burgers with mushrooms and compliant prosciutto. I might also add a stuffed avocado with peppers, tomatoes and cilantro. My skin hasn't changed much but I haven't had any new blemishes. I also had some bathroom issues (tmi). I hope the good results will come in time! Orbit27
Just ate dinner and made some ghee. Started crying out of nowhere, but I am approaching day 4. And going through a lot. I am started to worry about eating too much. I attacked some watermelon and more potatoes today, definitely FWOB. My SO put two burger patties on my plate though I only ate one. Sigh . Moderators ShannonM816 Posted June 3, 2015 Moderators Share Posted June 3, 2015 I am started to worry about eating too much. I'm pretty sure you're not eating too much. In fact, I don't think you're eating enough. Two chicken drumsticks is not really much protein -- one is definitely not enough. I'm guessing two meatballs is not enough either, although I guess you could be making really big meatballs. Are you adding fat to all your meals? They don't all mention it. Don't be afraid of adding fat -- it's what will help you stay satiated between meals. And you pretty much can't eat too many vegetables. One cup per meal is the bare minimum -- go for two or three cups each meal.
Orbit27
Thanks I will add some more fat. I guess what I mean is that I'm just eating too much fruit/nuts/sugar. I keep meaning to make eggs for breakfast but I always choose sleeping in. Just ate a banana and coconut butter, and for lunch I have a bunkers burger with mushroom and a side of green beans. Tons of dinner options so I can relax today.
Orbit27
Tonight's dinner being prepared for me - Bone in skin on chicken thighs with a homemade Italian marinade - Sautéed asparagus with crispy pork belly - Roasted potato medley Snacked on some grilled steak and swwet baby peppers dipped in sunshine sauce, also ate half an avocado and some grapes. Still loving the food and feeling pretty good, just a little tired. Skin hasn't broken out more but is healing slow now. I felt like snapping at a few people but I kept it to myself for the most part.
Orbit27
I have a lot of catching up to do! Friday after work- ate leftovers all day- I made chocolate chili and coconut crusted chicken nuggets to eat with the sunshine sauce. We were hungry so I also made dinner, pork chops with mushrooms , mustard and balsamic sauce, roasted garlic broccoli and sautéed squash. Saturdays Breakfast was chili and fruit, lunch was leftover dinner. After work yesterday I came home and ate a few dates with almond butter and half a personal watermelon. I also baked a sweet potato with ghee. I am beginning to get a little tired of coming up with meals so I plan on doing some serious food prep. I also skipped dinner last night because after our nap we just felt groggy and hit the sack! I just weighed myself and I am three pounds lighter than day 1. Probably from the fast but still, it is motivational! My skin is doing okay. Still a little red but only small bumps, no new big ones. Today I am driving to my parents house a few hours away because my sister BIL, niece and nephew are visiting. I told my parents ahead of time about my diet then they had texted me telling me about the new wine I have to try and the egg casserole we're having for brunch. Ugh. I'm just going to be prepared and do the best I can!
