MrsMcG
I am on Day 2 of my Whole30 and I am pleasantly surprised to find that I do NOT feel terrible!! From what I hear, the first several days of Whole30 can be kind of brutal, so I was expecting today to be kind of yucky. Yesterday, Day 1, was horrid. I was hungry, I was tired, I had a horrifying headache, I had the worst brain fog I've ever had in my life, and I was cranky and snappy to anyone who came near me. I was in bed by 7:30 and slept ten hours (usually get about 6). When I went to bed I fully expected to wake up this morning feeling just as bad, if not worse. I was miserable enough that I considered quitting more than once, but I powered through. Today, I feel great! I keep wondering if maybe I'm doing something wrong, but I reviewed my food choices from yesterday and I stuck to the plan 100%. Protein, lots of veggies, a couple fruits, a sweet potato, tons of water and compliant herbal tea. Is it normal to feel this good on the second day!? Or should I be worried that I'm going to feel like death tomorrow or the next day!? I was a pretty healthy eater before I started, and exercised regularly. The purpose of my Whole30 is to cut ties with my unhealthy vices: coffee creamer, baked chips, and light ice cream. Since I was eating way more carbs than I should have before starting Whole30, I expected a more difficult transition as my body adjusted to the sudden lack of sugar and carbs. melsboys
When I did my first Whole30, I didn't feel as bad as I expected. It was a complete change in eating for me, so I was kind of expecting it lol. I think my body was appreciative of the good food I was finally putting in it! My worst day was Day 5. I was literally ready to kill anyone and everyone....thankfully, no one was injured during that day lol. Keep it up!!!
