letsgiveitago
I'm on day 3.. It's like I skipped the withdraw stage (felt tired first two days but that's it) and went straight to angry. Had small banana, 3 eggs scrambled with an assortment of veggies (1cup), a couple small strawberries, and a few tablespoons of guacamole for breakfast. And coffee. I know they say starchy veggies for grumpy but I could barely stomach all that. I can't imagine eating a sweet potato or beet with it. probably normal feelings. Probably nothing I can do. Maybe just a vent.
Administrators ladyshanny Posted June 12, 2015 Administrators Share Posted June 12, 2015 Yep, that's pretty normal. Depending on what your intake was like prior to Whole30, your body is probably pitching a sugar-withdrawal FIT right about now. Stay strong. And I would suggest subbing out the banana and the strawberries for more veggies of the starchy variety. Note also that fruits early in the day can lead to later day issues with mood, energy and false hunger. This isn't a scientific fact but just a very common observation among our members. letsgiveitago
Yeah, I bet you're right. We ate moderately healthy, but we ate far too much sugar. Going to try to run it off right now. If I'm just going for a run do I need to eat post workout food?
Administrators ladyshanny Posted June 12, 2015 Administrators Share Posted June 12, 2015 Depends on how hard or how far you run. If your muscle glycogen gets depleted then yes.
TrayS
I had a pretty epic "Kill All The Things" day on Day 3 this time around. I was seriously on fire. Every nerve lit. My husband and coworkers made it through, fortunately. Hang in there! It will pass.
