Karen02769
When I started Whole30, I was hoping for relief from arthritis, psoriasis, and non-specific aches and pains as well as help taming an out-of-control Sugar Dragon. Here at Day 26 I can honestly say that my skin looks great and is not itchy, the swelling in my knuckles is noticeably reduced, and my aches and pains are gone, but I am exhausted! My legs feel like they weigh about 400 pounds each and by the end of the day I can barely make it through a 2 mile walk. I know I'm drinking enough water. Maybe it's too late in the game to make adjustments, but any advice would be appreciated. A couple of typical days look like this. Up at 4:30. preWO by 5:00: 1/2 serving chicken with paleo mayo 5:30 - 75 minutes of weights and intervals 7:00 - post WO of 1/4 sweet potato and 1/2 serving chicken (sometimes I skip this one if I'm pressed for time) 7:45 - M1: 2 eggs, homemade sausage patty, 2-3 cups spinach with olive oil 12:30 - M2: huge salad with 1 - 2 servings salmon, paleo mayo, 1 pear 7:00 - M3: huge salad with hamburger patty, guacamole, handful of nuts then I usually walk, but really haven't felt like it lately or on non-workout days up at 5:00 M1 by 6:00: 2 eggs with mixed veggies, homemade sausage patty Then I walk 4 miles 12:30 - chicken curry in coconut milk with mixed veggies 7:00 - steak, sweet potato, salad with avocado, cooked veggies then I like to walk a couple of miles, but have been too tired
Physibeth
Your meals look pretty good, but it is possible you need more starchy vegetables to support your activity level. I teach group fitness so I usually try to have a fist sized serving at two meals a day. Are you getting enough sleep? Is there anything causing abnormal stress right now? Karen02769
I suppose sleep might be the issue - only getting about 7 hrs per night. Work is busy, but fun and engaging, so I had kind of discounted that as a factor, but it could be. I just ate an extra big lunch and feel almost peppy, so maybe I just haven't been eating enough.
