Low Energy, High Irritability

Recommended Posts

A typical day of eating is:

M1: Egg bake with onion, sausage, eggs, sweet potatoes

M2: Large salad with 1/2 avocado, chicken, green onion, oil and vinegar.  Apple

M3:Chicken, roasted veggie (cauliflower, brocolli, asparagus)

I usually have a banana and nuts for pre work out snacks, almonds throughout the day when i need a little something.  After dinner i usually eat watermelon, or mango witih coconut

The fact that you need almonds throughout the day tells me that your main meals are not big enough.

Have you seen the meal template?  For best results, have all your meals meet the template of 1-2 palms of protein, 1-3 cups of veggies and the appropriate amount of compliant fat.   Build meals that satiate you for 4-5 hours.

A salad is not typically satiating.  "Large" would need to be in a the largest mixing bowl you could find. Try adding some cooked vegetables to help satiate you.

The pre workout recommendation is protein and fat,  no fruit.  Nuts are a fat on a Whole30

Until you get to a place where your meals satiate you for 4-5 hours, if you're genuinely hungry between meals (litmus test: you could eat something bland like steamed fish and broccoli), the guidance is to have a mini-meal of protein, veg and fat.

Also, are you drinking enough water? Aim for 1/2 an ounce of water per pound of body weight, daily.

You might find that switching your starchy veg to meal three will work better for your mood & energy levels throughout the day, and you may need more than one serving per day. Is it possible that your period is due?

As an aside I'd lose the banana from your preWO - you want to eat protein & fat, not fruit as fruit will send the signal to your brain that it can burn carbs as there's plenty more on the way. You want it to burn fat.

Up the quantity of your meals in general to lose the need for snacks, and ensure you're taking at least half your body weight in ounces of water daily.

You are not eating enough at your main meals and it sounds as if you skipping post-workout meals entirely. When you workout, you honestly need extra food. I would be low energy and irritable too. :_
