fitgirlH
Hi guys, I'm brand spankin' new and have a question about nut butters; what's the best primal option; Roasted or Raw Macadamia Nut butter???
Johnny M
I'd always go for raw...roasting can damage some of the already delicate oils in nuts and seeds.

juneclarity
I guess you're not brand spanking new anymore, but I just wanted to note that I enjoy soaking and then dehydrating my nuts. Like the other person said, roasting can damage the nuts. This is following more of the Weston A Price philosophy, but I found their reasoning pretty convincing. RAlfieri
I just ordered this Raw Almond Butter from Amazon and OMG! It is sooo good! When I feel the need to a sweet, I spoon a teaspoon of this into my mouth! http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000WW2M8Y/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=
MeadowLily
Alot of folks do use nut butters as a snack. It's not the best thing to do in terms of breaking up with the Sugar Dragon. Feeding the monster will never satisfy it...he is a sly old dog. The optimum is 3 meals without any snacks whatsover. Now if you're an athlete, you do get the pre/post workout meals. I'm a hiker, so I didn't add any snacks or the pre/post meals. Nut butters are an excellent food for maintaining the status quo or assuring that you don't go below your target. There are some who do need to eat more to remain steady and keep their energy levels up.
