brittberry09
Seems like every brand I find contains corn starch. Any suggestions?
Administrators ladyshanny Posted June 30, 2015 Administrators Share Posted June 30, 2015 Roast chicken in the crockpot or the oven and portion it out and stick it in the freezer?
brittberry09
Thanks..ill probably have to do that but I was just hoping there was a canned option for easy breezy meals.
Moderators ShannonM816 Posted June 30, 2015 Moderators Share Posted June 30, 2015 I know I found some compliant canned chicken once, but don't remember the brand. I know that's not helpful, but it does exist. Cooking your own is probably more cost effective anyway, and I don't think the stuff I found was all that tasty either. Munkers
I found compliant canned chicken at my local Costco, but your mileage may vary due to regional differences in food/brand ingredients.
brittberry09
I am happy to say I found a canned chicken that is safe to use. (see picture) Found this at my Neighborhood Walmart for about $2.60 per can
kevingf
Costco's in the DC/NOVA area have compliant canned chicken (and I prefer shopping there because I know they pay a living wage).

GFChris
If you have a Trader Joe's near you, their Premium Chunk White Chicken (blue label) is currently compliant. Ingredients: chicken breast meat, water, salt.
fmr_sailor
When I looked at the canned chicken pictured, I found the ingredients list to be non-compliant.... Or sketchy at best.
brittberry09
The ingredients include organic chicken breast meat w/rib meat, water, & sea salt. I thnk thats all compliant
