ladyteatime
I just started my first Whole30 the other day (on Day 3 right now) and I'll be done it before the Canadian Thanksgiving (Oct 8). My question arises in that I want to enjoy this holiday, we always have a bunch of friends and family come over. I want to eat the turkey, the pie, the ice cream and my aunt's homemade buns. I'm worried that this will set me back even though the Whole30 is technically over. I am planning to maintain large parts of the program over the next year (and reintroduce some things), but I don't want a month's worth of hard work to be completely undermined by one day. So is that likely to happen? (note: we make our own pumpkin pie using our own homegrown pumpkins)
Renee Kosowan
Maybe have really small portions if they are important to you. Like 1/2 a piece of pie instead of the whole thing. It is a little early to worry about this. By the time you get to day 30 you may have totally different views on your favourite foods. I know it changed for me. I no longer crave my 'favourite foods'
ladyteatime
Thanks for the response! Ya? Okay, I'll wait to see how I feel. Just today I cant believe the difference between day 3 and day 4. The bread cravings are pretty much gone! Who would have thought?!
