does anyone know if dried sweet potato starch noodles are ok to eat? just curious!

Oh, and I saw a recipe for butternut squash 'porridge' with apples and coconut milk. is that ok? no protein so I guess I would need an egg with it!

You'd need to look at the other ingredients on the noodles as they may well be some preservatives etc added in along with the potato starch.

It's easy enough to make your own (or any other veggie noodle) with a spralizer - they're less than £10 on Amazon.

Re the butternut squash porridge - that would probably fall into SWYPO territory to me. I'd wonder why you feel the need to recreate a traditional 'breakfast' dish with complaint ingredients. And of course you'd need 3-4 eggs (& without seeing the actual recipe I'm guessing at least another serving of veggies) with that to make it look anything like the template. So it's compliant, yes, but not ideal.

Bah! getting a bit sick of meat and eggs! Yeah, I think I was/am looking for a 'normal' breakfast like porridge or even just fruit with some nuts. Just ending day 3 and I think the cravings are starting to kick in!

Ok....back to the fish and spinach idea then! it'll pass....

no on this too, sorry. You can use sweet potatoes to make a sort of noodle, but the kind of processing that goes into making these puts them way out of the realm of real food. They also are notorious for causing digestive upset.
