Day 8!

I started on July 1st. I've wanted to post earlier but haven't had much computer time lately. I figured since I'm now at work with a bit of down time and a computer I should post. 


This is my first Whole30 and up until today the only thing I've struggled with is eating 3 meals a day. I don't normally eat until 2-3 hours after I wake up. Once I did eat I'd find that I was "starving" and eat a huge meal and then snack all the way up until dinner. Prior to today I felt like I'd be happy with one meal all day, but I make sure that I eat (although somedays I'd end up eating only 2 meals). Today (Day 8) has changed all that. I'm super hungry. I wouldn't go so far to say I'd eat boiled fish and broccoli (boiled fish doesn't ever sound appealing to me) but I'd definitely eat anything. Here's what I've eaten so far today: 


M1: 4 hard boiled eggs with s&p and habanero hot sauce, 2 Aidells Chicken Apple Sausage and a handful of black olives.

M2: Leftovers from dinner last night, Balsamic and Rosemary Chicken (Primal Palate), Mashed Potatoes with Olive Oil and Garlic and Oven Roasted Broccoli.

Snack: Handful of Raw Cashews, Walnuts, and Organic Raisins (I was a little hungry but more so I was super energy depleted and needed something. It's what I had at work. 

M3: Haven't had yet because I'm at work but it will most likely be Lettuce wrapped burgers, some roasted potatoes of some sort  and a side salad. 


Today I'm also super exhausted. I could seriously use a nap right now but I have nowhere to nap. Over the past week I've had days where I was a bit tired but today I'm practically falling asleep at my desk. I think after I post this I'm going to take a walk around my work place and hopefully get some energy back. Prior to starting Whole30 I was doing the Bikini Body Mommy Challange 4.0 but had stopped because I wanted to concentrate on getting a routine for preparing and cooking my meals. I think it's now time to add that exercise back. The BBMC4 ends on August 2nd so hoping between changing my food habits and exercising this month I will see some great changes in my overall health (although I could lose a few pounds, I know that will come with a lifestyle change which is more important to me). 


Anyhow, I will keep chugging along and taking things one day at a time.

Feeling much better today. I do however have an earache that radiates down into my jaw (possible infection). Thank goodness for my essential oils or I'd be dying right now.

M1: smoothie with 75% greens, some strawberries and pineapple and some coconut oil, blended with coconut water. I do realize we aren't supposed to drink our meals but prior to using my oils there's no way I'd be able to chew anything.

M2: 2 Hardboiled eggs with some Wholly Guacamole and habanero hot sauce.

M3: Will be pulled pork carnitas from the Whole30 book but I just put everything in my crockpot.
