jbourbon
Hi everyone! I am starting today and I am excited, but nervous. I am so tired of feeling tired! I have no energy and I can't even keep up with anything or anyone. I am only 43 and I shouldn't be feeling this way. I have tried diets and eating right and going to the gym. I feel great when I do those things, but my life gets so hectic during the school year I quit.....every....time! I just want to feel good and not burn myself out. I'm really afraid all of the food prep for this is going to burn me out as quick as going to the gym 7 days a week and still trying to balance a family and my teaching job....oh and eating right...which means more cooking and clean up for me! Okay, well, here we go! I know I will be checking in for ideas and reinforcement. Thanks everyone!

One way to do food prep is to do a weekly cookup. The website The Clothes Make The Girl has a good explanation -- on this page, scroll down and under Basic Paleo Kitchen Advice, check out the post The Method Behind My Madness, and then if you scroll further down, she's actually got some Whole30 weekly meal plans, with shopping lists and how-to that you could read through to get ideas. Keep in mind that her meal plans are for two adults, if you're cooking for more people, adjust accordingly. It is a lot of work to do on a weekend (or whatever day you can set aside to do it), but ultimately it saves time during the week, since mostly you're reheating, not actually cooking from scratch.
