Carrie-Lynn
HELP! I just bought about 6+ pounds of organic kale, spinach, chard and lettuce, and last night my refrigerator FROZE all of it. Are there any recipes you'd recommend? Can I still blanch it, even though it's pretty frozen right now? Can I cook it into some recipes and then freeze that meal/dish? Urg so mad if I have to waste it all Thanks! Carrie-Lynn
Administrators ladyshanny Posted July 13, 2015 Administrators Share Posted July 13, 2015 You can totally still use it! Sautee or braise it just like if it were fresh! You can definitely use it in soups or stews which you would then freeze. Greens such as that freeze very well. Just remember that whatever it is may be slightly watery once you thaw it...but if it's a soup or stew that should be fine. You could still throw them into scrambles and egg bakes too, don't even need to defrost, the heat of cooking will defrost it! The only thing you can't really do with it now is eat it raw/fresh like a salad.
