jocko
I live in a backwater burg with a grocery that carries almost nothing that is called for on this diet. Don't get me wrong, I can get meat, chicken and veggies but very little if any are organic, grain feed or free range. Will this diet work for me or am I just wasting my time. I am in day 3 and doing great with my eating, a little hungry, but doing good. I love meat and veggies so I think I will do fine if all of the crap that is in the meats and veggies don't sink me. Administrators ladyshanny Posted July 15, 2015 Administrators Share Posted July 15, 2015 Eat what you have access to. Yes, grass fed/finished and organic is ideal but many, many people who do Whole30 don't have either the financial means or the physical access to that. If you buy conventional meats, just make sure you trim all visible fat and don't eat the skin or use the animal fat for cooking (the animals store toxins in their fat). Any time you choose protein, vegetables and good fats over processed foods made and marketed by the Big Food Industries, you are doing yourself a huge service. Whole30 on! Britishgal
I can only afford the meat and fish and eggs and vegetables from aldi or my local fruit and veg stand (I've still never seen a spaghetti squash!). I'd love to buy beautiful organic fruit and veg but it isn't in the cards so I do the best I can and whole30 makes me feel wonderful.
