Here we go--July 18th start date

I started today! I have planned ahead, cleaned out the fridge and pantry (it's so clean!) and prepped meals in advance that are waiting in the freezer for times that I'm overwhelmed. I've already had the junk food dreams; hopefully those are out of the way. :) I guess the next step is to...actually start. (I had a trip planned this weekend and was waiting until after that, but ended up staying in town, in case you're wondering why all the procrastination.)

A little introduction: I'm a 42-year-old woman, overweight, moderately active but with a crazy sweet tooth and not attentive to portions. I'm really hoping to reset my sugar cravings with this challenge, and am glad to see a plan that focuses on satiety and not calorie-counting. Thanks in advance for your support; I'm glad this forum is here!

OK, I knew that tracking detailed meals would be overkill for me, but I want to make note of how I've been feeling so far.

Day 1-3: Definitely hungry between meals, but concentrating on having balanced snacks when I need them. NO heartburn these days, and I didn't experience the carb hangover or crankiness I expected. A little low energy, but we're also having a heat wave so I figured naps were allowed!

Day 4: My first work day since I started. Good energy this morning but had some black tea at a meeting anyway (first caffeine since last week). Now that I'm home I'm a little run-down. Had some heartburn after lunch (leftovers of last night's dinner, so maybe it was due to the tea). Going to make dinner and then take a walk.
