anjelevil
After 38 days,I fell off the wagon,in grand style! I got on the scale after staying off for all that time to find out that I had only 4lbs after all this time. I guess this shows why you shouldn't get on the scale at all, ever again!I felt quite deflated and therefore decided the best way to move forward was to have an all out sugar binge. I'm quite disappointed in myself and hoping I can jump back on this time rather than going through a downward spiral.
homerfrizzell
Don't be discouraged - the scale is an evil device. It doesn't distinguish between fat and muscle.
Aberrantatavia
The scale gives you a number that is totally devoid of any basis for measuring health. Just get back on the bike and keep riding in the right direction. And leave the scales behind.
Derval
I saw this on Bellatrix Nutrition Fb page the other day "The scale tells you nothing about yourself- other than indicating your relationship with gravity, which is not relative to WHO you are, WHAT you're capable of, and WHERE you're headed. Stop focusing on some number next to your toes and start focusing on healthy behaviors. Stress management | 8+ Hours of sleep | Clean, whole foods | vitamin D & Sunshine | Time with friends | skip the cleaning and wrestle with your kids | Belly breathing | Self love. Instead of reminding yourself of all the things you want to change, remind yourself of all the things you LOVE about your life, your family, yourSELF. xoxo" -- Sara Gustafson Eye
anjelevil
thanks everyone!I have jumped back on the wagon and I'm seeing it only as a hiccup in the road to health. The binge made me so ill and I know that I can't go through feeling ill from food anymore. I will put the scale away as well and try and remember that it's only a number and does nothing to say how I am REALLY feeling.
Mich
Thanks for sharing, I have just done the same thing. Did my Whole30 and was loving it although it had some challenges. The couple of days before I finished it (Sunday) I started to have cravings for carb and thoughts of chocolate but managed to put them aside. Then today (Monday) I was feeling a bit under the weather and caved - chocolate and a chicken burger with chips (the later not something I ever ate regularly). Really disappointed with myself and feel like I have lost an opportunity. I have been tossing up starting a new whole30 (I had planned to do a 45 or 60) from tomorrow. Right now I think it is the best thing. Feeling very bloated, sick and headachy. Not fun.
