marymonster 17
Okay, so, ever since I started whole30 (restarted 12 days ago) I've been having soft (sometimes loose) smelly stool everyday. It doesn't float (usually). Back when I was eating conventional wisdom healthy (4ish months ago) with tons of grains I was having pretty normal, bulky stools. But I only went every 2 or 3 days. I was thinking maybe I'm not digesting fat properly? Maybe I should take digestive enzymes? Or eat more fermented foods? Please help.
missmary 5242
when you change your eating drastically, it takes a while for the digestion to work itself out. As long as you are going once per day (at least) I would not panic. that said, digestive enzymes and fermented foods are fine additions to the program if you want to try them. LandShark 28
I think I read in It Starts With Food that as your gut heals, you'll pass some mucous and dead bad bacteria, making your poo pretty alien. Dunno about supplements, but I'm pretty sure what you're experiencing is not outside the realm of normal, if that's any comfort.

Robin Strathdee 2914
Like all of the above said, give it some time to work itself out. If things aren't different in a couple of weeks, check out an enzyme with ox bile to help you digest all the healthy fats.
