Moderators Tom Denham Posted July 25, 2015 Moderators Share Posted July 25, 2015 Eat dark leafy greens like spinach, kale, and chard. Eat canned salmon with bones and skin. Eat beef liver and plenty of beef and lamb generally. I met with a functional medicine doctor yesterday to go over my blood work. She asked if I were taking a calcium supplement because my calcium levels were just above the high end of the range. I don't take a calcium supplement. I have not consumed dairy in over 5 years, but the Whole30-style menu I consume is working beautifully. I can't remember my iron levels, but the doctor warned me not to supplement with iron because I was good the way I was. I eat dark leafy greens about once per day, eat canned salmon every other day, and eat beef or lamb almost every day.
