Over-exercise

I am re-reading "It Starts With Food" and came across the section on stress and over-exercising. I am wondering what constitutes over-exercising? I do one hour of cardio 4-5 times a week and strength train 2-3 times a week. I want to make sure this is ok, and that my exercise efforts are not actually sabotaging my healthy efforts in general.

Hi Alison, unfortunately this is as far from a one size fits all answer as you can possibly get. The best answer I can give you is, "Maybe."

It's totally possible that you have a ton in your recovery tank to support your activity...but I know that 5 hours of cardio per week, plus lifting, would be way too much for me.
