hey_pange Posted July 28, 2015 Share Posted July 28, 2015 I am on Day 16 of my first Whole 30. It's going really well, and I am lucky to have not experienced too many side effects. My issue is with loss of appetite- I love all the foods I am eating, but find I have to force myself to eat- I am just not hungry at all. Some things that help are finding new spices, new preparation methods or even just a different twist on an old favorite. Can you post a few days worth of meals including portion sizes along with fluid intake and any stress you're under and we can see if there's something we can help tweak in there to make you feel better! The issue is not me disliking the food (it's delicious!) or hating vegetables, it's that I am really struggling and have to really force myself to 1. start eating & 2. get it down. I literally have ZERO appetite. My meals yesterday were: 1. 1/2 Spinach & tomato frittata (from Whole 30 cookbook), 1 apple, side of roasted veggies (left overs ) 2. Grilled chicken tenders with roasted red pepper sauce (from Whole 30 cookbook), steamed broccoli, carrots & baked sweet potato. 1 Banana. 3. Meatballs (FedUp 2 cookbook) with tomato sauce (from Whole 30 cookbook), cauliflower mash, broccoli & carrots I'm drinking a LOT of water, and only water. I just have absolutely no appetite whatsoever. I will not skip a meal because I'm not hungry, because that is why I'm here. I used to skip lunch and it totally jacked my metabolism. I'm soooooo close to 30 days. I think I am experiencing food boredom. Which is funny because I just discovered the slice blade on my food processor. lol- everything cooks even faster! lol But holy moly. I tried googling the topic on the website- but it kept bringing me back to this spot. My concern is that once I am done with Whole 30- nothing will appeal to me. I guess I'll go wander through the produce aisle and see what appeals to me or something. I do think if my DNA was coded- it would be part Zucchini and part sweet potato. HA!!! Moderators ultrarunnergirl Posted August 3, 2015 Moderators Share Posted August 3, 2015 My only thought is to ask how much water you are drinking -- and possibly stop drinking an hour or two before meals. Also, you said water is all you are drinking, so that rules out coffee which can definitely be an appetite suppressant. Are you getting some exercise and fresh air?
