Dying for sweets -- Day 9

I can't stop thinking about sweet treats! I had a little mashed banana with a tbsp of almond butter after dinner and of course I shouldn't have bothered. I'm still obsessed with ice cream, brownies, and cookies. Probably because I'm tired and on my way in to a night shift at the hospital. I did watch Melissa's video on cravings from Paleo f(x) recently. She said much of craving is psychological, which made complete sense to me.

What do you do when you are obsessing about treats?

When you crave sweets, you should make sure you are stuffed full of protein, fat, and veggies. Never ever eat anything sweet when you are craving sweets. Aside from food, go for a walk. Take everything out of your chest of drawers and put it back neatly. If you still crave sweets, reorganize your hall closet. If you still crave sweets, call a Whole30 friend and ask them to meet you for a cup of green tea. :)

I do a lot of hand crafts and I just don't want to keep getting up to wash my hands if I was to eat while working so I don't. Maybe something like that to distract your hands? take up knitting or crocheting to keep busy with?

I'm on day 5 and I was really wanting to grab a Dove dark chocolate out of the fridge after dinner (trying to break that habit).

 

I'm hiding out in one of the other rooms and reading posts here to stay out of the kitchen. I decided to grab a handful of cashews and munched on those instead. I figured I was still hungry since I didn't eat lunch today. I will eat all meals tomorrow.
