Little wins

So I'm on day 11 (supposedly the hardest day for most... I feel like my toughest is yet to come) and I just wanted to share a couple of things I'm pretty proud of so far in my Whole30 experience.

1) I've kept it simple the whole time (thus far) - while the recipes in the Whole30 book are super yummy looking and inspiring, I've refrained from any kind of gourmet cooking for the past 11 days and it's actually made the process easier for me. I've whipped every meal up (except one compliant meal out) in less than 15 minutes and it's more often than not delicious! While there's nothing wrong with fancy cooking, I feel proud I haven't felt deprived by my quick 3 or 4 ingredient meals :)

2) A friend left a box- a WHOLE, FULL box- of Nilla Wafers in my car yesterday (I never ate Nilla Wafers often but when I did...no brakes) and my only reaction was a little sigh and I threw them out!

I'm feeling this thing ya'll! And better yet, I'm lifting better than ever and climbing harder stuff than ever!

I completely understand! 3 days after starting, I friend I hadn't seen in months came in town and stopped by to say hi with a huge slice Mrs. Fields chocolate cookie!! She didn't know I was on the program and before I would've eaten the entire thing with 5 minutes of her leaving. But I didn't. I was SO proud!! Congrats on that NSV!!

AWESOME!!!!  Most of my meals are 3 or 4 ingredients as well and I don't feel deprived at all either. I am getting tired of cooking though, mostly b/c of the mess I make doing so. I am going to have to look into new recipes in the ISWF book for more motivation. :) I am a bit behind you, Day 10, and I trying to prepare myself for the hardest days to come.  Good luck!
