kruddock
Is cocoa butter allowed on the Whole30 for cooking? Ingredients: Cocoa butter in powdered form. I have attached a picture of the ingredients.
jmcbn
No picture attached. If it's just 100% cocoa butter then yes, this is fine.
kruddock
Yes, I listed the exact ingredients. That's great, it's awesome to cook with. I attached the photo as a file, I guess it didn't work.
healthycrone
I have to ask. Exactly how do you cook with cocoa butter? I've only ever used it to make soap or body lotions/creams. Not saying it isn't edible. Just wondering how you'd use it.
kruddock
It is in natural powdered form which is edible. You use it in cooking instead of oil. I have used it by mixing it with spices and coating my chicken in it then frying in a pan. It does not impart any strong flavor to the meat, I like it. You can also use it in sautéing, wok, grilling & BBQ. It is a Canadian brand, Mycryo.ca, if you want to check it out.
