JillyB Posted August 1, 2015 Share Posted August 1, 2015 Happy Saturday! How are all of my July 1st starters feeling after "breaking" yesterday? Day 31 - Dairy Introduction (and wine ) Meal 1 - Baked egg muffins with prosciutto, red onion, jalapeno, sundried tomatoes over mixed greens. Meal 2 - Ground beef and sweet potato curry over 1/2 sweet potato and mixed greens. Meal 3 - Cheese! Had dinner out with a friend so we split the cheese plate and I had a beet salad with walnuts and goat cheese. And a glass of wine. It was all so delicious. The introduction was a semi-success. I felt fine except a small amount of acid reflux about 2 hours after. I realize that I could attribute that to either the wine or the cheese so I will definitely re-test them individually going forward. It wasn't anything that a glass of water didn't fix but it was noticeable. Day 32 Meal 1 - My version of kitchen sink scrambled eggs from the Whole 30 cookbook. Onions, jalapeno, tomato, sun-dried tomato and prosciutto with sliced avocado and mango. Delicious and Instragram-worthy. :-) Meal 1 was late and large so its a 2 meal Saturday. JillyB Posted August 3, 2015 Author Share Posted August 3, 2015 Day 32 Meal 3 - Strip Steak marinated in garlic and herbs, sauteed asparagus and mixed greens drizzled with Tessemae's Lemon Chesapeake dressing. Day 33 Meal 1 - Kitchen sink scrambled eggs- Onions, jalapeno, tomato, sun-dried tomato and prosciutto. AND COFFEE!! Bought some Silk Cashew milk so that was a treat! Meal 2 - Brought my own salad to the racetrack to see the triple crown winner in action! It was a fun day with dad. 50/50 salad blend with bacon, grilled chicken, avocado, zucchini and diced plum with lemon olive oil and fig balsamic vinegar. Emergency snack - Pineapple Upside Down Cake Larabar. I thought I would have been back from the track around 8 but it was SO crowded that I didnt get home until almost 10. Meal 3 - Barely a meal but 3 bites worth of Saturday night's leftover strip steak with 5 stalks of asparagus and 10 raspberries. Day 34 I just want to mark this so I don't forget. I woke up with a coated tongue this morning - which I know that is yeast overgrowth. But is this due to the wine and cheese from Friday (3 days ago?) or from the raspberries late last night? I'm testing wine alone on Wednesday so I'll have more info within the next few days! Meal 1 - Egg Muffins with prosciutto, sun-dried tomato, tomato, jalapeno, onion over 50/50 salad blend. Meal 2 - Mixed greens with grilled chicken, bacon, zucchini, cauliflower, avocado and raspberries. Meal 3 - Zoodles with meat sauce.
