AnnieShafai
I just realized that the canned chicken I just ate has modified food starch in its ingredients. Sorta freaking out. Cant figure out if this is a big NO NO or not. Can someone help a newbie out? Thanks so much ~Annie
coffeebean68
Hard to know for sure because it doesn't specify where it came from. Potato starch is okay, but others are not. http://gluten.lovetoknow.com/What_Is_Modified_Food_Starch

jmcbn
Yeah, it usually contains wheat, corn or potato, and it's probably not something you'd want to be eating during your Whole30.There are better canned chicken options out there, but it's actually really quick & painless cooking a whole chicken in a slow cooker with very little prep required.
