Charlynn
I have started today!!! Yahoo! Notes about Day 0, aka grocery, prep, and cooking day. Eating good is expensive! (but so is eating bad and having poor health later, so... I get it) shopping for new foods, prepping, and cooking for the week takes a LONG time get parchment paper So I disliked very much that I shopped, prepped, and cooked on the same day. I spent the entire day (it felt like) at the store and in the kitchen while my husband got to hang out with the kids. Next week I am going to shop and prep Saturday and cook Sunday to spread it out a little more. Day 1 started today. The bad: I went to bed after 11:30 last night due to dinner downtown with friends that were in town from out of state. Alarm went off at 4:30 this morning so I could take my son to hockey at 5:30. Lack of sleep is not the best way to start. And I am going to a concert tonight which will be another late night. I spilled coffee (black) on my shirt at hockey. And thought I might cry. The good: Even with my questionable start to the day, I am determined. I grabbed my breakfast on the way out the door to hockey. Three of these muffins, a red bell pepper, 1/2 cup of blueberries. I remember at one point reading in the book (I think) to eat each meal at the table. Take your time and enjoy it. Turn off electronics, etc. I just don't know how I'm going to do that with my schedule. I ate in the bleachers at an ice rink. I tore off pieces of the egg muffins that were in a zip loc bag and ate it like it was Moroccan food! Messy. Sigh. I was able to make it 5 hours before I needed lunch at 11:30. The W30 basic salmon cakes, basic mayo (so proud of making this and it worked!), mixed greens with a little W30 balsamic vinaigrette , small apple. Have dinner planned, so should stay on track. I have had two cups of black coffee and am planning nothing but water for the rest of the day.

Noellerenee
This is Day 5, and so far so good. I already was a healthy eater but always trying to lose 10 #. I'm eating more protein and healthy fats, but wish I could eat more fruit, my sweet fix. Today I have more energy and plan to get on the treadmill soon. I am 69, and eating more, 3 meals a day, is a novelty, as I either skipped meals or grazed-- mostly fruit and almonds. I hope to gain energy and especially reset my sluggish metabolism. No health problems but feeling my age with those aches and pains.
