macysknits
Hi All, I'm on day 19 of my Whole30 and so far I have had really strong food cravings every single day and usually multiple times a day. They have really not lessened from the beginning to middle. As I write this, there are multiple boxes of bagels, muffins, and popcorn sitting outside my office because of an event yesterday and I'm totally distracted by it. Is there anyway to make the cravings less intense? The ridiculous part of all of this is that they aren't even good bagels and muffins...just the typical catered stuff from the dining hall. I have been logging my food daily and trying to mind how much fruit I eat and follow the template. Prior to Whole30, I really did eat like crap; there was a ton of takeout, restaurant food, or prepackaged stuff daily. Is this just a reflection of how poorly I ate before? Do I need to make changes to how I'm currently eating on the program? Any thoughts/advice would be appreciated. The cravings are really disheartening. Melissa C
I was fine til today and am at day 19 or 20 too!! Dying for a diet coke. Well, "misery" does love company, Maybe our initial "oomph" is dying down. I'm going to go for a walk --my craving very specific and my history is I give in ONE time and then it's done. macysknits
Glad I'm not the only one! I'm not a soda person but I am definitely a breakfast food person making the bagels and muffins very craving inducing. My plan is to go see a friend's art opening tonight; hoping a non-food activity will distract me! Enjoy your walk

Can you post a few days worth of your typical food/liquid intake? Often a few tweaks to your protein & fat levels, or the composition of your meals can make a huge difference to preventing cravings.
